A pennant is a flag that is not square or rectangle. A pennant is a triangle shape at one end - E> This is usually flown on a ship or boat at the top of the mast - the long pole in the middle of the ship. e.g. The sailors penant was visible from the top of the mast. For example, I come from America. My flight has three colors; red, white and blue. The red and white come in 13 stripes alternating between these two colors.
