Can you tell me how to get from "Point A" to "Point B"?
If you have discussed a location with someone and now you want to go to the place you can use this expression.
"How do you get there from here?"(Because you have already talked about this location you simply say "There" you do not need to say the name of the location.)
When you want to ask how to get from a Train station to a park or from a hotel to a restaurant you can use this expression.
