興奮するって英語でなんて言うの？

「興奮する」は英語で：
Excitedになります。

スポーツの試合は”Match"になりますので、
「あの試合はすごく興奮した」は：
That match was super exciting! になります。

いずれも「この間はじめてスポーツ観戦をしたのですが、とても盛り上がって興奮する展開でした！ 」という意味です。
the other day => この間
I went to watch a sports event =>　スポーツ観戦をした
for the first time =>初めて
during the event => 展開でした。実は「during the event」は直訳ではありません。「イベントの時に」という意味です。直訳すれば「As the event went along」と訳されるのですが、そう訳するとインパクトが少しなくなったと思います。

もちろん今興奮している状態を表したいときに現在形にし頂けます。
例文：
I am so excited!
I am filled with excitement!
I feel so exhilarated!
今とても興奮している状態です！

「興奮する」は get excited とよく言いますが、この文脈ですと exciting 又は thrilling の方が良いと思います。これらは形容詞です。

例えば、「この間はじめてスポーツ観戦をしたのですが、とても盛り上がって興奮する展開でした！」と言いたいなら The other day I went to my first sporting event, and it was really exciting/thrilling と言えます。Exciting と thrilling はニュアンスが同じです。

To be (になる) も to feel (感じる) もどちらも付けて使っても意味が一緒で大丈夫です。
