「本当は〇〇したかったけど出来なかった」"actually"は「[本当は](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/46531/)」に相当し、"to want to..."は「○○を[したい](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/125316/)」という意味を持っています。あと、"couldn't"または次の例の"wasn't able to"は「[できなかった](v)」という意味です。
