直近は一般的に recent と言います。
「[最新](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/40709/)」を強調したいなら most recent と言えます。
例えば「これが直近の[データ](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/34299/)です」と言いたいなら、This is the most recent data と言えます。
「直近」を調べたら proximate という言葉が出ましたが、実は私はこの言葉を聞いたことがないです。

"most recent" ←これは"latest"と意味がほぼ同じです。
