直近って英語でなんて言うの？

直近は一般的に recent と言います。

「最新」を強調したいなら most recent と言えます。

例えば「これが直近のデータです」と言いたいなら、This is the most recent data と言えます。

「直近」を調べたら proximate という言葉が出ましたが、実は私はこの言葉を聞いたことがないです。

"latest" ←「最新」の意味合いです。

"most recent" ←これは"latest"と意味がほぼ同じです。

「これは直近のデータです。」の例文：
・"This is the latest data."

・"This is the most recent data."

「直近の情報のファイルを添付して下さい。」の例文：
・"Please attach a file with the latest information."

・"Please attach a file with the most recent information."

「直近の」はつまり「最新の」ですから、これを表すlatestを使います。

またlatestは最上級で、これには通常theを伴います。

「最新データ」

the latest news
「最新ニュース」

といった使い方をよくします。
