部屋などの向きは facing ○○ と言います。例えば、北向きの部屋は a room facing north や a north-facing room と言います。
乗り物や人の向かっている方向は headed for/ headed toward と言います。例えば名古屋向きのバスは a bus headed for / headed to Nagoya と言います。

「X 向き」の X はどこか・何かへ動いてない・どこかへ向かってないものだったら、下記の例の言い方があります：
南向き は towards the south または facing the south
東向き は towards the east または facing the east
This building is facing the east.
このビルは東向きです。
The couch is facing the window.
ソファーは窓に向かっている。
もし X は「へ向かっている・へ進行している」場所だったら、
東京向き （東京行き）は towards Tokyo または in the direction of Tokyo
大阪向き （大阪行き） は同じく、towards Osaka または in the direction of Osaka.
この電車は大阪向き（行き）です。
This train is going to Osaka. または This train is going towards Osaka. または This train is going in the direction of Osaka.
1.) direction (向き) 「向き」は英語でdirectionと訳せます。Directionは方位や方向などの向きという意味があります。
例えば、
Which direction do you want to go? (どちらの向きに行きたいですか？)
You can see it in the North direction. (北向きで見えます)
What directions are you following?
どの方向を見てるの？（地図を見ている友達に聞くシーン）
In which direction do you want to go?
どっちの方向に行きたいの？
I want to go north/south/east/westなど
私は、南・北・東・西〜に行きたい〜など
Where are you heading to?
どこに行くつもり？？
ここのheading to-は go~に似ています。
I'm heading towards the South
南の方に行くつもりだよ。

方向などの「向き」は上の三つどちらでも大丈夫です。「pointing ~」の方は主に何かを指さしているような表現で、目線などに合ってる表現です。
この窓は南向きです。
This window is facing south.
This window is south-facing.
あの銅像は上向きです。
That statue is pointing up.
