男性に合わせられるって英語でなんて言うの？

お酒を飲むときに男性に合わせられますっていうときに、She arranges her drinking to suit the men.で合ってますか？この場合なぜdrinkingとingがつくのか説明していただけませんでしょうか。よろしくお願いします。

「合わせる」の直訳は adjust / tailor to ですけど「男性に合わせられる」場合には下の英文使います。

Adjust to suit the men.
Tailor to fit the men.
 
１）She adjusts her drinking to suit the men.
お酒を飲むときに彼女は男性に合わせられます

２）She tailors her drinking to fit the men. 

（Her + drinking）その時には Drinkingは名詞としてはたらく（彼女の飲むのこと）
