もし直接口頭で伝えるなら、事情を説明するのがいいかもしれないですね。
例えば、「My Skype is completely inundated with chat requests so I ask that you send messages to the group email list」あたりがよろしいかと思います。
contact to 〜＝〜に連絡する
make an inquiry to 〜 /make inquiries to 〜= 〜に問い合わせをする
*inquiryは問い合わせと言う意味です。
