説明文って英語でなんて言うの？

「説明文」という言葉は英語で様々な言い方が使えます。
例えば「Explanation」、日本語の意味は「説明」です。「文」を強調したい時に「Explanation note, Explanation text」も使えます。

Can you please teach me the meaning of this explanation note? = この説明文の意味を教えてください。

「Description」も使えます。日本語の意味は「記述、説明」になります。

The description on this book is not very clear = この本にある説明文は分かり辛いです。

Could you explain this description to me? = この説明文を説明してくれますか？

「説明」は「explanation」で「instruction」の方は指図や指令の意訳の方になります。

例文
・Could you please tell me the meaning of this explanation?（この説明の意味を教えて頂きませんか？）
・What is the meaning of these instructions?（この説明/指令の意味はなんですか？）

「説明文」は英語で explanation と言います。一つ気をつけなければいけないのは、英語で ex. という表記がありますが、それは explanation ではなく、example の略です。もし「この説明文の意味を教えてください」を言いたいなら、例えば Please tell me the meaning of this explanation と言えます。
