まずは、ＲＹＯさんの英訳例も決して通じない文ではないと思いますので、もしかしたら「発音」という部分で引っかかってしまったのかもしれません。
いずれ、文としては全くと言っていいほど問題無いはずですね。
またそういう時、つまり一つの言い方で通じない時はすぐに別の表現に変えて色々言ってみることで、どれか一つでも通じるよう試してみる価値がありますね。
そんな別パターンでは、”I'll be staying for another 3 days."、このように「進行形」にするのもまた意味としては正確な表現になると思います。
同時に、”I'll be here for 3 more days." 、「まだ３日間ここにいます」という言い方もシンプルで同じ意味を伝える別の手段になると思います。
英語は常に一つの言い方だけではなく色んな表現方法がありますので、いつも言い換える練習などもしておくと便利かもしれません。

If you intend to stay for three days, then today must be one of the three days you intend to stay. For example, your agent asks you:

You reply: "Yes, I'm here for two nights and three days: Monday to Wednesday. No problem!"

You can change it slightly depending on your preference.
If you are enjoying yourself and having a good time you can say
Unfortunately, I am only staying another 3 days. - this means you will be sorry to leave
If you are not enjoying yourself and you don;t like where you are you can say
Thankfully I am only staying 3 more days - this means you will be glad to leave.

If your on vacation it is acceptable to inform the person you are talking to that your vacation is over in 3 days. Or you can explain that in 3 days you will be heading home. And last but not least you can say that there are only 3 days left for your trip.
