アメリカでは俗語でmuleという言葉が「運び屋」の意味で使われます。
muleはラバという動物のことで、これが荷物を運ぶために使われていたことから転じて「運び屋」の意味で使われるようになりました。
「麻薬の運び屋」はdrug muleと言います。
