そのままになりますが、

という言い方です。
土地は、property や estate, land などと言い換えれます。
余談ですが、私はずっと heir をそのままヘヤーと読んでて恥ずかしい経験をしていますので、注意してください！(笑)

ーMy grandfather willed me a piece of land.
「祖父は私に土地を遺言で贈与した」
to will で「遺贈する」
ーI received a piece of property from my grandfather after he died.
「祖父の死後、彼から土地を受け取った」＝「土地を相続した」
