locations だと複数の場所になるので、単純に目的地一つであれば、locationで良いです。 迷う　＝ to get lost, to be lost 一つ目の　I got lost on the way to the location which he has specified　ですが、 on the way = 行く途中 という意味なので、直訳すると、「彼の指定した場所へ行く途中に迷った」となります。 二つ目の　I was lost heading over to the place that he specified　ですが、 to head over = （目的地に向かって）行く というちょっとまた違ったフレーズを使えます。直訳すると、「彼の指定した場所に向かっていたら迷った」という感じになります。 どうぞご参考に。
