  • I have just started taking online English lessons.

  • I am new to online English lessons.

  • I had my first online English lesson yesterday.

Learning a new language can be so much fun! It can also be a daunting experience because there is a lot to learn, even the native speakers of a certain language can never know everything there is to know about that language. Itis good to be patient with yourself and allow yourself daily practice. Ask your teacher to speak slower if you don't understand, and always remember to ask for help when you need it. To explain that you have recently begun taking English lessons, use the sentences above. Daunting: scary Good luck on your English learning journey :)

  • I just started learning English.

  • English is a new language for me.

There are different ways to let someone know you “just started” learning English. It’s important to let your online teacher know if your a beginner. Also explaining that you need them to speak at a slow pace is very important.

  • My online English lessons are still in their infancy.

  • I'm still a fairly new online English student.

1. My online English lessons are still in their infancy. If something is in its infancy then it means that it has just started or it's still in its beginning stages. Another example: The conservation project is still in its infancy. 2. I'm still a fairly new online English student. Fairly new is a relative term -in other words if your car is fairly new then it could mean that you haven't had it for more than a year. When you say that you are a fairly new online student then that could mean anything from between a day to about 3 months.
1. My online English lessons are still in their infancy.(オンライン英会話はまだ始めたばかりです) "something is in its infancy" は「~は始めたばかり/初期の段階」という意味です。例: The conservation project is still in its infancy.(保全事業はまだスタートしたばかりです) 2. I'm still a fairly new online English student.(オンライン英会話はまだ始めたばかりです) "fairly new" は相対的な言葉です。

  • I am new to online English lessons

  • I've only just started taking English lessons online

You can explain it using both of these sentences. The first one means that you aren't familiar with the whole system, so, you are a new person there. The second one is a directive explanation.

  • I recently started doing online English lessons

  • I've just got started with online English lessons

  • I've recently begun online English classes

You want to explain that you just started online English lessons. You can do that by using one of the above suggested example structures. The first sentence uses the past simple and the other sentences use the present perfect form. (Present perfect for a recent activity which continues up to the present time).
