席などを（一箇所から）別のところに移動する際にmove以外にも switch を使うこともあります。

To be extremely courteous and polite, I would use the first sentence I suggested. The other suggestions are courteous, but first provides a more professional and non-abrasive tone. Also, you can simply ask if there are any open seats after the plane has been boarded. As a rule of thumb, may sure you are very polite in tone with your English when asking to switch seats so that you may be accommodated.
You are on a plane and you see that a seat is empty, you can use one of these three sentences to help you out.
