坂道の傾斜がきつい、急な坂のことは steep を使って言えます。
例：
The road in front of my house is quite steep. It's hard walking up.
「家の前の道はとても急な坂だ。歩いて登るのが大変だ。」
steep 「急勾配の・険しい」
The road that leads to my house is quite a hill. It's torturous, especially in the summer heat.
「家に続く道は急坂だ。特に夏の暑熱の中だと拷問のようだ。」
quite a hill で「かなりの坂」のようにも言えます。
