8日って英語でなんて言うの？

英語で「8日」は the eighth と言います。日本語みたいにそのまま「8」は eight ですが、「〇〇日」と付けたら「〇〇th」になります。3番目の前、最後の言葉が変わります。他の番号はだいたい同じパタンです。 The first 1日 The second 2日 The third 3 日 The fourth 4日 The fifth 5日 The sixth 6日 The seventh 7日 The eighth 8日 The ninth 9日 The tenth 10日 And so on. 文章の例は： Are you free next month on the eighth? 来月の8日は空いていますか？

Are you available on the 8th of next month? 来月の８日は空いてる？ 正直に言うと、普段会話するときは、例えば11月に、 Are you available on December 8th? 「12月8日は空いてる？」 How about December 8th? 「12月8日はどう？」 という方が簡単ではあります。 それでもあえて「来月の●日」と言いたい場合には the ●th of next month になります。（もちろん１２、３の場合はそれぞれ1st, 2nd, 3rd になります）。
