シチュエーションにもよりますが、
makes less work for mommy（ママの仕事が減るよ）＝（楽になるよ）のように言えます。

例：
Thank you for bringing your plate to the sink.  That makes less work for mommy.
「流しにお皿持ってきてくれてありがとう。ママのお仕事が減るよ。」
That makes less work for mommy.の代わりに That's a big help for mommy.(すごく助かるよ。）のように言うこともできます。

Good girl/boy for not moving around too much.  It was much easier for mommy changing your diaper this time.
「じっとしてていい子だね。今回はオムツ替えるのがすごく楽だったよ。」
not moving around too much 「あんまり動き回らない」＝「じっとしている」
much easier for mommy 動詞のing で「ママにとって〜するのがすごく楽だったよ」
