"to fix the parts"（動詞）も「部品を固定する」を意味します。和英辞書によると「固定する」は"to fix"であるそうですが、"to fix"は「修正する」・「修理する」意味もあるからちょっと曖昧な表現です。わかりやすくするように、"to fix the parts together"または"to fix the parts to each other"と言った方が良いです。
"to secure the parts"（動詞）も「部品を固定する」を意味します。「動けないように固定する」意味合いが強いです。"to secure"もちょっと曖昧で「手に入れる」解釈もあるから、"to secure the parts together"または"to secure the parts to each other"と言った方が良いです。
