これは日本独特の問題ですね！
まずカナダの子供達は（その家にもよりますが）中学や高校の頃から自分の洋服は自分で洗うことが多いです。父親でさえ自分の洗濯は自分でしている家もあるくらいです。なので、子供がお父さんの服と一緒に洗って欲しくない、なんて言ったときには「じゃあ自分で洗え」と言われることは確実でしょうね。
例：
Most teenage girls don't like the idea of having their clothes washed with their father's.
「１０代の少女たちは、自分の服が父親の服と一緒に洗われることを嫌がる。」
having their clothes washed with their father's で「自分たちの服が父親の服と一緒に洗われること」
Teenagers are not that crazy about their clothes being washed in the same load with their father's.
「１０代の子供達は自分の服が父親のと一緒に洗われることが気にくわない。」
their clothes being washed in the same load with their father's で「自分たちの服が父親の服とまとめて洗われること」

→ 日常会話でとても自然
→ “dad’s” は「父の服」という意味
・do the laundry together with my father’s clothes
「父の服と一緒に洗濯する」
