模範演奏って英語でなんて言うの？

楽器の演奏で生徒さんにお手本を見せる時は、日本語では模範演奏・デモ演奏・見本演奏なんていいますが、英語ではなんといいますか？

「模範演奏」は英語で「demo performance」と言います。「demo」は「demonstration（手本）」の略なのです。でも、私が吹奏楽をやっていた時、先生はよく「Let me show you an example.」（お手本を見せます）とおっしゃいましたから「example」でもいいと思います。

生徒が音色を想像できない時、模範演奏をします。
When the students can't imagine the timbre, I give a demo performance.
