I wanted to be informed by the school principal.
校長先生から知らされていたかった。

上司とは　\"superior(s)\" と言います。カジュアルな会話で \"higher-ups\" （複数形のみ）も言えます。一人の上司だけ、例えば課長、部長などは \"boss\" と英語で良く呼ばれています。
