What level of material should I use to study? - 自分のレベルではどの教材を使えばいいでしょう？
文の中にstudyが入っているので勉強をするためのマティリアル（材料）が分かります。What level/Which levelはどのレベルと問いかけてます。
Which material should I use to study? - 自分はどの教材で勉強すべき。
最初の文と内容は同じです。
For my level, which text is best? 自分のレベルにはどのテキストが一番適していますか。
For my level = 自分のレベルには
which text is best? = どのテキストがベスト（一番適してる）。
テキスト/text = 勉強材料です

英訳1：「合っている」を直訳すると、「適した」や「ふさわしい」という意味の suitable が考えられます。これを最上級にして most suitable と言いますが、これを best にしてもOKです。（ good と言ってもおかしくはありませんが）
英訳2：should I use と言っても should I be using と言ってもOKです。前者は、まだ学習を初めていない状況、後者はすでに初めているくらいの差になりますが、大きな違いはありません。
英訳3：「おすすめは？」と聞くこの表現もおすすめです。

上記のような言い方もできます。
「教材」は material と言えます。

You can use any of these statements:-
1. Which material do you recommend?
The word recommend means suggest or put forward. If the teacher recommends a certain material for you to do during class it means that he/she suggest that you should do that lesson.
2. What material is most suitable for my level?
Suitable means appropriate, acceptable and fitting.
Other examples are :-
a. Which dress do you think is most suitable for the party?
b. Which dress do you recommend that I wear to the party?
これらの表現を使って言い表すことが出来ます。
1. Which material do you recommend?
(どの教材がいいと思いますか？）
この"recommend"とは提案する、勧めるという意味になります。
先生が何かの教材を"recommend"したらレッスンでその教材を使う事を先生が勧めるという意味になります。
2. What material is most suitable for my level?
（私のレベルにはどの教材がいいですか？）
"Suitable"とは適切、適している、ふさわしいという様な意味になります。

If you are wanting someone to advise you on something then we also call this 'recommend' or to 'suggest'
If asking their opinion then you might ask them what they 'think is best'
I would always use 'type of' or 'kind of' as I think you are wanting to know the broad range of material you can use. This will give you an answer like "reading articles" or "role play". Then the ending of all three of these sentences are similar in meaning. The top two may lead the teacher to take into account your hobbies and preferences, whereas the third question is asking the teacher to choose material solely based on your level.
