Harukaさんの最初の文は少し不自然な言い方ですが、２つ目の言い方は大丈夫ですよ。
その他にも下のように言えますので、参考にしてみてください。
ーI didn't grow up in a culture where people go to hot springs.
「人々が温泉に行く文化で育っていません。」
I didn't grow up in a culture where .... で「…の文化で育っていない」と言えます。
ーI wasn't used to going to hot springs growing up.
「子供の頃温泉に行くことに慣れていなかった。」
be not used to ... で「…に慣れていない」
例：
I wasn't used to going to hot springs growing up because it wasn't a custom in the country I lived in.
「私が住んでいた国の習慣ではなかったので、子供の頃温泉に行くことに慣れていなかった。」
custom 「習慣」
in the country I lived in で「私が住んでいた国で」
