教科書には、
It took a week for her to get well.
とあります。書き換えとして、it's+before構文で、
It was a week before she got well.
も同じ意味とあります。しかし後者の場合、
「時間＋before S＋V」として、
「それは彼女がよくなる一週間前だった」
と解釈することも可能ではありませんか？
It was a week before she got well. は教科書にあるように、It took a week for her to get well. と同じ意味で「彼女がよくなるのに１週間かかった」という意味になります。
これを「それは彼女がよくなる一週間前だった」と訳すことはできません。
もし the week before she got well だと「彼女がよくなった１週間前」と言えますが、It was the week before she got well. という文はおかしいです。下の例文のように言えますので参考にしてみてください。
例：
Her mother came to be with her the week before she got well.
「彼女のお母さんは、彼女がよくなる１週間前に、彼女と一緒にいるためにやってきた。」
