〜できれば、と言っているのでこれは仮定法ですね。なので I can take you ... ではなく I would take you ... とします。ここで would の代わりに could を使っても良いのですが、if節ですでに could を使っているので、ここでは would の方が自然に聞こえます。
ーIf I had been able to drive that day, I would have given you a ride to the train station.
「あの日、運転ができたなら、駅まで乗せて行ってあげられたのに。」
if節は If I had been able to drive と言った方が自然ですよ。
主節の方は I would have (I could have でも可）
「駅まで送る」は give someone a ride to the train station とも言えます。
