「外国人」は英語で “foreigner” とも “alien” とも言いますが、 “alien” は普通の会話だと「宇宙人」になりますから、日常会話だと “alien” より “foreigner” がいいです。 “alien” は法律などのフォーマルな書類に使われています。しかし “foreigner” と呼ばれるといやがる外国人もいますので、他の言葉が使える時には他の言い方がいいかもしれません。例えばお店「外国人用」だと “for foreigners” より “for overseas customers” の方がいい感じになります。
