「地方」は英語でcountrysideまたはrural areasと呼びます。基本どちらを使っても大丈夫ですが、公式書類など、もっとフォーマルな言葉を使う場合はrural areasの方が向いています。
なお、「〜者」で終わる単語は、英語の対等の単語がある言葉（例：医者＝doctor、患者＝patient、配偶者＝spouse）もあれば、「地方在住者」みたいに対等の単語がない言葉もいっぱいあります。その場合、英語に翻訳する際は、those who〜（〜をする人）やthose with〜（〜を持っている人）を使う必要があります。（thoseの代わりにperson/peopleも使えますが、thoseの方が丁寧です。）

障害者→those with disabilities / people with disabilities
当事者→those involved / people involved
経験者→those with experience / person with experience
