地方在住者って英語でなんて言うの？

「地方」は英語でcountrysideまたはrural areasと呼びます。基本どちらを使っても大丈夫ですが、公式書類など、もっとフォーマルな言葉を使う場合はrural areasの方が向いています。

なお、「〜者」で終わる単語は、英語の対等の単語がある言葉（例：医者＝doctor、患者＝patient、配偶者＝spouse）もあれば、「地方在住者」みたいに対等の単語がない言葉もいっぱいあります。その場合、英語に翻訳する際は、those who〜（〜をする人）やthose with〜（〜を持っている人）を使う必要があります。（thoseの代わりにperson/peopleも使えますが、thoseの方が丁寧です。）
地方在住者→those who live in the countryside / person who lives in the countryside
障害者→those with disabilities / people with disabilities
当事者→those involved / people involved
経験者→those with experience / person with experience

"A resident of a rural area"（地方在住者）
"resident" は「住民」という意味で、"rural area" は「地方」や「田舎」を指します。

✔ "He is a resident of a rural area in Japan."
（彼は日本の地方に住んでいます。）

"A person living in the countryside"（田舎に住んでいる人）
"countryside"** は「田舎」や「郊外」を意味します。

✔ "Many people living in the countryside prefer a quiet life."
（田舎に住む多くの人は静かな生活を好む。）
