「好きな作家は？」という質問に対して、普段ほぼ本を読まないので“not so much that”を使って「I know the names of some authors, but it's not so much that I like them.」と答えてみたいのですが合っていますか？

ーI know the names of some authors, but not so well that I like them.

または次のようにも言えます。
ーI know the names of several authors, but I wouldn't say I like them.
「何人かの作家の名前を知っているが、彼らが好きというわけではない」
