何人か名前は知ってるけど、彼らが好きって程ではないって英語でなんて言うの？

「好きな作家は？」という質問に対して、普段ほぼ本を読まないので“not so much that”を使って「I know the names of some authors, but it's not so much that I like them.」と答えてみたいのですが合っていますか？

ーI know the names of some authors, but not so well that I like them.

または次のようにも言えます。
ーI know the names of several authors, but I wouldn't say I like them.
「何人かの作家の名前を知っているが、彼らが好きというわけではない」

I know a few authors by name, but I wouldn’t say I’m a fan.

I know some authors’ names, but I don’t really have any favorites.

I’ve heard of a few authors, but I’m not that into them. 

「何人か名前は知ってるけど、彼らが好きって程ではない」は、英語だと “I know some authors” だけだと弱くて、「知ってるけど、好きってほどじゃない」という距離感が出にくいです。ここは “by name / I’ve heard of … / I wouldn’t say …” を使うと、ちょうどいい温度になります。
