1. got killed by a gun 「銃で殺された」
   "（過去完了）by ~~ "は「~~によって--された」というフレーズで、応用が利きます。
   例:
   I got bitten by a mosquito. （蚊に刺された）

2. shot to death「銃で死に至った」
   ~ to death で「〜で死に至らす」という意味です。
   drown to death 「溺れて死んだ」
   starve to death 「飢えて死んだ」
