ピアノを６歳で始めたが、12歳でやめて、最近また始めたって英語でなんて言うの？

I started playing the piano when I was 6 years old, but I stopped playing the piano when I was 12 years old.
Recently, I restarted playing the piano again.

この表現で合っていますか。もっと良い表現があれば教えてください。

playing the pianoを最初に言うなら、
stopped, started playing againだけで短縮して言ったら
相手がstopped playing the piano, started playing the piano againで理解しますね。

また、restarted playing the piano againじゃなく、started playing the piano againと言います。
againと言う意味はrestartにもう含まれているからですね。

Recently, I started playing the piano again.の方がスムーズです。

前半では 6 years old を言っているので、後半では 12 だけで十分です。

restarted の re = again 、そして後半で again を言っているので、意味がダブっています。


I started playing the piano at age 6, but stopped when I was 12. I recently started playing again もいいと思います。トピックがピアノなので I started playing again だけでも意味が通じます。
