「子育てを終える」を直訳すれば、「finish raising (my) children」となります。文法的に間違っていませんが、英語ではこのような場合では逆の意味の「(my) children are all grown up now」＝「自分の子供はもう大人になった」の方が自然です。
因みに「何かを始めたい」は英語で「start something new」や「start doing something new」となります。
例文：
My children are all grown up now, so I'd like to start doing something new.
子育てを終えた今、何かを始めたい。
