音を低くするって英語でなんて言うの？

lower the soundにすると音量を弱くする、という意味で理解されます。
lower the pitchやlower the keyのどちらが通じます！
例えば、
I can't sing higher notes, so at karaoke when I sing songs by female singers, I always lower the pitch
高い声が出ないので、カラオケで女性歌手の歌を歌うときは必ず音を下げて歌う
