このまま経口で飲食させてても消耗させるだけだと思いますって英語でなんて言うの？

犬の酷い下痢と嘔吐が何日も続いています。通常下痢や嘔吐は1日程度絶食させて胃腸を休めてから、水分補給したり食事を再開します。しかしながら絶食させた後、少しでも食べさせるとその分下痢や嘔吐で出て行ってしまう症状が数週間続いています。これ以上の絶食には体力的にも持ちそうもないため、口から食事させたり水分を摂らせてても回復しないと思います、と伝えたいです。
結果として入院してしまったのですが…(涙)
