この場合、次のように言うと良いと思います。
ーIf I'm not sure about ..., maybe I shouldn't do it.
「…について迷うなら、やめておこうかな」

ーIf I'm debating whether or not I should ..., then maybe it's best that I don't.
「…をするかどうか迷うなら、やめたほうが良いかな」
