「物事には限度ってものがある。」って英語でなんて言うの?

例えば断捨離のしすぎで部屋に食器すらないような友人の部屋に訪れた時など、「基本的には賛成だけど行き過ぎはどうかと思うよ」という気持ちを伝えたい時に

いつでも限度はある。 それは、限度を超えているね。 それは、いきすぎているね。 それぞれ上記のような意味となります。 I like the way your room is so neat and simple, but you don't even keep a dish in your closet? That's way over the line. というように、部屋がきれいでシンプルなのは、いいけど、お皿が一枚もないなんて、まったく信じられないよ。 という意味になります。 ご参考になれば幸いです。

1.行き過ぎだと思う 2.(物事には)限度がある go too farはよく使われる表現です 「行き過ぎだよ」「やり過ぎだよ」という風に使います I thinkを入れなくても' You've gone too far'だけでも使える表現です 例)A)I got angry and broke all my glasses B)You've gone too far, you need to control your temper 訳)頭にきたからグラス全部割っちゃった   やり過ぎだよ。その癇癪どうにかしないと。 limit=限度 everything=全てのもの 物事のすべての事を指しています always を入れると「いつも」「必ず」というニュアンスになります 例)There's always a limit to everything 物事に必ず限度は付き物です ちなみに持ち物など人生に関することをなるべく最小限にさせたい人の事を Minimalistといいます 最小限主義者
