マラソンで自分より先に走っているを追い抜くって英語でなんて言うの？

自分より先に走っている人を抜くことは次のように言えます。
ーto pass the runner ahead of you
ーto run by the runner in front of you

例：
The runner who was in second place ran past the guy who was in the lead and won the race.
「2位の走者は1位の走者を追い抜きレースで優勝した」
