「好きなものは最後に食べる？ 一番に食べる？」と聞くなら、 Do you save the best for last, or eat it first? （一番いいものを最後に取っておく？ それとも最初に食べる？） という表現がとても自然です。
save the best for last は「一番いいものを最後にとっておく」という定番の決まり文句で、食べ物に限らずイベントのトリなどにも使われます。
