日本語だと「撮りたい」でも別に間違いではないのですが、「記録として残すこと」に重点を置いた「残したい」の方がより一般的に多用される表現ですよね？英語でも「残す」ことに重点を置いた自然な表現はありますか？「I want to use this high spec camera to preserve the memories of our daily lives.」だと不自然？captureですか？
I'd like to capture a moment in the life of our family with this high-resolution camera.
この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーI'd like to capture a moment in the life of our family with this high-resolution camera.
「高画質のカメラで、家族の思い出に残る瞬間を撮りたい」
high-resolution camera で「高画質カメラ」
to capture a moment で「瞬間を撮る・捉える」
