簡単に言うには、 place を用いて、favorite place（お気に入りの場所）という表現でも良いと思います。
この表現でしたら、レストランでもショッピングをするお店でも、どちらでも使えます。
それ以外でも、公園や観光スポットなど、何らかの場所にいる時でしたら、どんな場合でも使えます。
place は、my place という表現をすると、「自分の家」という意味にもなります。

"This is my favorite store" and "There's a great shop I'd to show you. Hope you will like it too!" are very close sentences. Favorite means best liked or most enjoyed. The second sentence shows that you are more emotionally invovled in the situation.
"This is my favorite store"（ここは私のお気に入りお店です）と "There's a great shop I'd to show you. Hope you will like it too!"（あなたに紹介したい店があります、あなたも気に入ってくれるとうれしいです）は非常によく似た文です。
