hard time は「困難な時間」という意味で、この場合は「困難なシチュエーション」と訳せます。"ホテルや駅"という表現をtraveling abroadにしてみましたがどうでしょう？

この質問は使う単語は中学レベルの単語でいけそうですが、日本語構造の質問文だから直訳の英語では難しい文だと思います。
日本語と英語は構造が異なる言語なので、自分の言いたいことを日本語構造で伝えようとすると英語として成り立たないことが多々あります。少し込み入ったことを伝えたい時は、日本語だと長い１文にしがちですが、英語だったら分解した方が断然伝わりやすくなります。

私なら、頭の中でこんな風に日本語を分解して英語にします。
この作業を頭の中でパパーットするのは訓練が要りますが、徐々にできてきますから気長に頑張りましょう。
