Umm は日本語でいう「[うーん...](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/41676/)」。(発音は「うーん」と「アム」の間ぐらいの音でしょうか。ウムーではありません)
Let me see.
Could you please give me sometime so that I can express myself.
I am trying to see how I can translate it in English.
"I am trying to see how I can translate it in English." this means that you are thinking it in your mind and you trying see how best to say it in English.
"I am trying to see how I can translate it in English."は、英語でなんといえばいいか考えているときに使えるワードです。
(英語でそれをなんといえばいいか考えているの)
Give me a minute to think of how to say what I'm thinking
How do you say.....
To give the listener the idea that you are thinking about what you are going to say, you can use:
-"Um"
THIS IS THE MOST COMMON WAY TO SAY THAT YOU ARE THINKING.
EX)
"what are you doing tonight?"
- "um....... I don't know yet"
-"How do you say?......"
This question is also very common. You are not actually asking how do you say, but you are letting the other person know that you are thinking.
「今、言うことを考えている」は次のように言えます。
-"Um"
これが「今考えている」の最も一般的な言い方です。
例)
"what are you doing tonight?"(今夜は何をする予定ですか)
- "um....... I don't know yet"(あー... まだ分かりません)
-"How do you say?......"(何と言うんでしょう)
この質問もよく使われます。これは実際に「何と言うんですか」と相手に質問しているわけではありません、「今考えている」ということを伝えます。
If someone is asking you a question and you would like to think about it, you can say something like "Hmmm..." or "Let me think about that...". Some people just use 'sound effects' that express that they are thinking, like "ummmmm..." or "uhhhh...". However it is always better to try to answer questions without using pauses as this makes you seem more professional.
質問をされて少し考えたいときは次のように言えます。
"Hmmm..."(うーん)
"Let me think about that..."(ちょっと考えさせてください)
"Ummmmm..." や "Uhhhh..." のように「音」で考えていることを表す人もいます。
ただ、質問をされたときは、極力間を開けずに答えた方がいいです。その方がプロフェッショナルに見えます。
I can't help but translate everything..one second.....
Yes, it is sometimes ineveitable that we translate sentences to assist our understanding.
"That was a difficult sentence!"
"I'm just mentally translating that now."
"It is advised to try not to translate words and phrases"
"I know, but I can't help but translate everything!"
自分の理解を促すために言葉の意味を翻訳するのは仕方がないことだよね。
"That was a difficult sentence!" 難しい文章だな
"I'm just mentally translating that now." 今意訳しようとしてるんです。
"It is advised to try not to translate words and phrases" フレーズやワードで翻訳はしないほうがいいらしいよ。
"I know, but I can't help but translate everything!" わかってるんだけど、全部訳そうとしちゃうんだよね。
I am Ruminating..."MULLING IT OVER" / SEARCHING FOR THE RIGHT WORDS"
Give me a moment I am searching for the right phrase...I am mulling thngs over.
Soemtimes...the right words or a concise phrase don't come immediately to mind...
and when that happens... it is quite normal to "take pause" and ruminate a little.
Better that, than "bursting out" some inaccurate response;-D
Just a second!..."I need a moment to find clarity"
時々、正しい単語や簡潔な表現がすぐに浮かばない時があります。もしそんな事が起こった時は少し停止して沈思黙考するのが普通です。
突発的にまちがった返答をしてしまうより、そうした方が良いです。
"Just a second!..I need a moment to find clarity"
(少しまってください、明確さを探さなければいけません)
What you’re looking for is conversational ‘fillers’.
Hmm can be said if you only need a little time to put together a sentence and is a natural sound made by English-speakers as they think.
That’s a difficult question can be used as you think of an answer. You could also repeat the question.
It depends can be used once you’ve been asked a question if you’re not sure what your answer is. It’s a good one to use in speaking tests because you can give both sides of an argument.
Give me a minute, I am just thinking.
Give me a sec/ Give us a sec.
One sec/ minute.
Personally, I would use, 'Give us a sec,' it is certainly more informal though. Pick whichever one that suits you the best. Use it well.
I hope this helps.
Have a great day.
Will
Give me a minute, I am just thinking.(ちょっと待ってください、今考えています)
Give me a sec/ Give us a sec.(ちょっと待ってください)
One sec/ minute.(ちょっと待ってください)
個人的には 'Give us a sec' を使うと思います。かなりカジュアルな言い方ですが。
自分に合うものを選んで使ってみてください。
参考になれば幸いです。
良い一日を。

All three of these short phrases can be used to express that you're trying to put the words together inside of your head. The first example is something that you would say to show you were thinking, whereas the other two are small phrases that would let the listener know that you needed to think more before speaking.
One minute please, I'm translating that into English.
Please hold on a second while I translate that into English.
Let me see.
1. "One minute please, I'm translating that into English."
You are asking the person to wait for a minute while you translate the information into English.
2. "Please hold on a second while I translate that into English."
You are asking the person to wait for a second while you translate the information into English.
3. "Let me see."
This phrase can be used as a filler, just to show a pause in speech.
1.One minute please, I'm translating that into English.
(1分ください、英語に翻訳しています)。
その情報を英語に翻訳している間、その人に1分間待つように尋ねる言い方です。
2.Please hold on a second while I translate that into English.
(それを英語に翻訳しているあいだ、ちょっと待っててください)
情報を英語に翻訳している間、少し待つようにお願いする言い方です。
3.Let me see.
(そうですね―。)
この言い方はつなぎ言葉として使用することができ、一旦止まっていることを表わしています。
When we say "I have to process this" we mean that we need a moment to think about what has just been said and our brain must then handle this information. It shouldn't take too long, and the other person will understand, especially if you are a foreign speaker. They will usually have patience.
We can also say " I am going to guess" meaning that we don't know for sure what the answer is, but we feel like we can take an educated guess or an estimate. Depending on the conversation, it may be easy to figure out what we are trying to understand
"I have to process this" は、言われたことを「頭の中で整理させてください」という意味です。これはそんなに長い時間かからないはずです。あなたが外国語を話しているならなおさら、相手は気長に見てくれると思います。
"I am going to guess" とも言えます。これは「答えが何かは分からないが、推測させてほしい」という意味です。会話の流れで、何となく意味が推測できる場合があると思います。
