へのご返答ですが、両方とも正しいです。
ただ、
「There are no hotels around here.」
という表現の方がより一般的であり、よく使われていますので、
こちらの表現の方を一番目に記載させて頂きました。

→この辺りにホテルはありません。
There aren't any hotels around here.
→この辺りにホテルはありません。
There isn't any hotel around here.
→この辺りにホテルは（ホテルなんて）ありません。
これからお話しすることは私の個人的な感想です（あんまり当てにしないでください）。
★ hotel vs. hotels
hotel と単数形にすると「どんな種類のホテルも存在しない」というニュアンスになります。
hotels と複数形にすると「ホテルの数はゼロ」というニュアンスになります。
特に深い意味がないときは複数でいいと思います。
単数形のほうは否定の意味を強調した言い方になります（→いかなるホテルもない）。
例）
A: Into the hotel! The cop won't be able to find us in there.（ホテルだ！あそこなら警官にも見つからない）
B: What hotel? There isn't any hotel around here.（ホテル?この辺りにホテルなんてない）

no hotels よりも any hotels のほうが少し「カジュアル」だと思います。
意味は同じです。

Both of these would be suitable to use both singular or plural it would depend on the question being asked to what answer you may give
So if someone asked you " are there any hotels around here" you would reply with the plural or if they asked "is there a hotel around here" you would use the singular

To describe that there are no hotels nearby, you might say ‘there are no hotels nearby’ or ‘there are no hotels for miles around’. This second phrase is not necessarily accurate (there might be a hotel 5 miles away), but it is a casual phrase we might use to show that the nearest hotel Is far away. A native might also say ‘the nearest hotel is (number of miles) from here’ to give a more accurate description of how far the listener should expect to travel.

The two sentences you see above are excellent ways to express to your listener that there are no hotels nearby. In the first sentence you will see the term close by and in the second sentence you will see the term in the vicinity. Both of these terms in these sentences mean nearby. These are terms we use in our everyday conversation and they would make a great addition to your vocabulary!

Both these expressions are useful. One is not better than the other.
We look online to compare hotels and then choose somewhere to stay.
"There are no hotels nearby." This is useful when we are trying to locate somewhere to stay and want to compare prices, however there aren't any to compare!
"There isn't (is not) a hotel nearby." This is the singular form and is appropriate to use when explaining that there is in fact no where to stay in this particular area.
どちらも役に立つ表現です。どちらかがより良いというのはありません。
ホテルは、インターネットで比較して、どこに滞在するか決めますよね。

これは、滞在する場所を探している時、価格を比較したいけど比較するものがない！という時に使えます。
"There isn't (is not) a hotel nearby."
これは単数形です。その場所に本当に泊まる所がない、と伝える時に使えます。
In all honesty, the correct answer for this is your own choice, all three of these examples speak direct and make it understood that in the area you wish to stay there are not any hotels.
