Hey Rin!
ユーコネクトのアーサーです。
英語では動詞が必要なので
I start college in April
また
I'll be a college student from April.
I start college in Aprilの方が短くて言いやすいのでオススメします。
ちなみに、日本語で「〜生のとき」をよく使うのですが、アメリカ人は「when I was in ~」を使います。
When I was in high school, no one had smart phones!
よろしくお願いします。

The first two sentences here are pretty simple. The first one uses 'start' but in the second we have 'begin'. These two are interchangeable. We also have 'college' and 'university' here which are also interchangeable. In the third sentence we have 'commence' which is a synonym of 'start' or 'begin'. We also use 'degree' here instead of 'college' or 'university'. A degree is the qualification you get at college.
I will be + Verb ing = Future continuous form. The future continuous refers to an unfinished action or event that will be in progress at a time later than now. The future continuous is used for quite a few different purposes.
I will be + Verb ing =未来進行形。未来進行形は、未来の時点でまだ終わっていない、まだ進行中のことを言及する時に使います。至るところで未来進行形は使われています。
I'll be a college student from this April'- At the moment I am not a student but from April I will be a college student
'I'll be starting college in April'- in April (some time in the near future) I will be starting a course and will therefore be a student.
You might also want to say what you will be studying. For example, 'I'll be starting college in April and I will be an economics student OR 'I'll be an economics student from this April'
I'll be a college student from this April'
- 今時点では大学生ではないけど、4月からそうなるんだ、という意味ですね。
'I'll be starting college in April'
- 4月(近い将来)、コースが始まって、大学生になる。
大学で勉強しているだろう、という言い方もできますね。
例:
'I'll be starting college in April and I will be an economics student
4月に大学が始まり、僕は経済学の学生になる。
または
'I'll be an economics student from this April'
この四月から経済学の学生になるんだ。
1)I will be starting college in April. - This means it hasn't happened yet but will happen in the future.
2)I am planning to start college in April.- This means it hasn't happened yet but you are making the necessary preparations to start going to college.
"1) I will be starting college in April.
これは、大学生ではないけど、近々大学生になることを意味します。
2) I am planing to star college in April.
こちらは、まだ大学生ではないけど大学生になるので必要な準備をしなければいけないという意味になります。"
Hey I will soon be a freshman!...I begin college this April...
When we start at a college or University we can be described as a Freshman:-D
If we want to tell someone we are going to attaend college for the first time...
We should keep it simple...
"Hey I will soon be a freshman!...I begin college this April."
大学に入ったばかりの学生はFreshmanと呼ばれます。
もしも、大学に初めて通うということを伝えたいならば、シンプルに次のように表現できます。
例文:
"Hey I will soon be a freshman!...I begin college this April."
(もうすぐ大学一年生になるんだ。この4月から大学が始まるんだ。)
First it should be mentioned that the words, "college," comes from more in American English whereas, "university," is more commonly used in British English. We can use the three verb tenses :
Simple present - "to start."
Present progressive - "to be starting."
Future tense - "will start."
