★【習慣的ポイント】日本語ではよくいう事ですが、英語ではあまり、終わったことに関してさらにまたお礼を言うということは多くないと思います。
よほどなにか大きなことをしてもらって、それに対して再び言う場合に限られると思います。
もしくは、Thank you for the present the other day. のように、「この間はありがとう」というより、「この間の頂き物、ありがとう」ともっと具体的な対象を入れる方が英語としては適切だと思います→【日本語は抽象的、英語は現実的】ですね。

以前のご質問への解答となり恐縮ですが
少しでも参考として頂けますと幸いです。
別のアンカーさんがアドバイスされていらっしゃるように
英語ではより現実的（具体的）に表現するのが自然です。
今回お尋ねの「こないだ」に、何をしてもらったのかは
分かりませんが、
You've been great help to me.
と表現することもできます。
あくまでも直訳となりますが、
「あなたはずっと私にとって助けになっています」
ということで、【こないだ】の事だからと
You【were】great help. としますと、過去形で
あり、「じゃあ今は違うの？」といったニュアンスにも
取られかねませんので、You【have been】great help.と
してあります。
＊この have been の形は、すでにご存じかもしれませんが
「現在完了」と呼ばれるもので、過去から今までずっと~している
という意味を伝えることができます。ご興味があれば、掘り下げて
お調べください（現在完了の「継続用法」といいます）。
なお、先ほどのはあくまでも直訳ですので、この言い方で
相手にきちんと感謝の意は伝わります。

Both of these expressions show how thankful you are for that persons help.
"Thank you so much for the other day, I really appreciate it."
〔訳〕先日はどうもありがとうございました。本当に感謝しています。
"I'm very greatful for your help the other day."
〔訳〕先日は手伝っていただいて、本当に感謝しています。
どちらも、手伝ってくれたことについて相手に感謝の気持ちを伝える言い方です。

These two sentences are great ways to express that you appreciate the help you received from someone. In the first sentence you will notice the term lifesaver. Although this term has a few different meanings one of the meanings is someone who provided a lot of help at the right time.
