Drawing is an art form, when we make sketches or pictures of something. When someone asks to draw a picture we can use the following sayings:
"This drawing was requested!"
"Requested" is a synonym of ask, meaning that someone asked me to do this drawing.
"I was asked to do this drawing/sketch!"
"Sketch" is a different word that can be used instead of drawing.

If an artist is commissioned to create a piece of artwork, it means that someone asked them and paid them to create a particular piece of art
- for example, painting members of a family together.
On the other hand, if someone asks someone to do something, this may be described by 'personal request.'
"What a beautiful portrait! Who is it?"
"It is a very wealthy client who commissioned me to draw her in this particular pose."
"Wonderful!"
"What a beautiful portrait! Who is it?"
"It is a very wealthy client who commissioned me to draw her in this particular pose."
"Wonderful!"
