「〜次第である」「〜によって決まる」「〜による」という意味の depend on ~ を使った文にしてみました。
depend on ~ は、例えば、次のように使います。
Everything depends on you.
（全ては、あなたにかかっている）
会話では、簡単に、次のように言うこともあります。
It depends.
（それは事と次第による）
英訳例は、「私の将来の人生が、それによって決まる」という意味の文にしてあります。
「それ（it）」の代わりに、「そのテスト（the exam）、「その入試（the entrance exam）」などを入れれば、具体的に表現することができます。

The first phrase would be a good way to say that its not about what happened before in your life, That after getting the results from you entrance exam it will all be a new start for you and a new future will be the choice your making.
Phrase 2 would be used when explain that the new future you want all depends on your entrance exam.

This is actually a very common phrase in natural English "__ depends on it". In this case you mean to say that your future depends on your exam scores. This is quite common.
-I must do well on my exam, my future depends on it.
-My future depends on this exam.
Some other variations would be.
-I have no other choice.
-I cannot fail.
