The following phrases are all suitable expressions to use when informing a waiter that you are not ready to order when dining in a restaurant: I'm still deciding I need a little more time I'm not ready quite yet I'm not ready to order yet

"I haven't decided yet." means that they can not settle on one item. "What would you recommend?" Often, when customers can not decide, they ask the host, assuming that they have tasted the food that they are trying to decide on. If asked this question, you can simply say your favorite food, or you can say what the most popular food is. "What is good here?" The customer might recognize the food, but isn't sure how it is made. In this case, you can recommend the 2-3 of the most popular items to help them decide. "I need a minute." They are still thinking, so check back soon. "Can I recommend something?" If you can see that the customer is struggling to decide after a long time, the host can ask this question. You can tell your favorite item from the menu, or you can show the most popular item.

Depending on the situation and who you are speaking to whether it is formal or informal, you can use any of these phrases to express that you need more time. Ex. Did you find the answer yet? "Just another minute please".

I would say, "Can I please have a little more time to decide." Or, I would say, "Can you please give me another second?"
