〜に例えるって英語でなんて言うの？

「もし動物だとしたら、彼は〜だろう」というニュアンスになります。

"As an animal, he would be __" ＝ 「動物に例えたら〜だろう」

ちなみに質問だと："If he were an animal what would he be?" または "As an animal, what would he be?"

Should I be an animal, I would choose…も言えます。
